No residual or lingering blast material! Dry ice blast cleaning.

A clean cleaning technology that vaporizes instantly and does not generate secondary contamination! A blasting method using dry ice that is completely different from conventional blasting.

Dry ice blasting cleaning is a blasting method using dry ice that is completely different from conventional blasting. Unlike sand, grit blasting, or water, the blasting material does not leave any residue or remain behind, as it vaporizes instantly. This makes it an extremely clean cleaning technology that does not generate secondary contamination, making it very friendly to both the operator and the work environment. **Features of Dry Ice Blasting Cleaning** - No need for post-processing recovery of blasting material, significantly reducing labor costs. - Minimal disassembly and reassembly of the items being cleaned. - High-temperature items can be cleaned without waiting for temperature effects, allowing for the omission of disassembly, transport, and reassembly processes. - Operators do not inhale harmful chemical vapors, preventing secondary contamination. - It does not damage the surfaces of items being cleaned, from steel, aluminum, and copper non-ferrous metals to new materials. - Contributes to VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) regulatory issues. *For more details, please check the materials available for download in the catalog.*

Regarding substrate preparation using SSPC SP-10 blasting.

SSPC SP-10 is a standard for surface preparation, widely used for its high removal rate. It is necessary to remove more than 95% of contaminants adhered to the surface by blasting!

SSPC is a standard established by the Steel Structures Painting Council USA, and SP-10 (Near White Metal Blast Cleaning) requires the removal of more than 95% of visible surface contaminants (such as oil, dirt, rust, and oxides). The method of application only permits dry blasting. SSPC SP-10 is the second highest level of standard for surface preparation. The highest standard, SSPC SP-5, requires nearly 100% removal, which poses a cost issue. SSPC SP-10 necessitates the complete removal of rust adhered to the surface, while allowing for slight discoloration or shadows of mill scale and oxide films up to 5% of the surface area, thereby reducing costs while ensuring sufficient cleanliness, making it a widely used standard. By removing 95% of surface contaminants, it maximizes the performance of the paint and prevents early peeling of the coating, thereby extending the product's lifespan. Such specifications are chosen for harsh environments, such as highly corrosive coastal areas.
